Creating Soul-Inspired Lives
Welcome to my site! I’m Deborah, a retired psychologist turned spiritual director. I received my spiritual direction education at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. I became a spiritual director because helping people find more meaning in life is my passion. We can strive to make meaning out of our lives, but I believe that the spiritual journey is what creates deep meaning.
I was raised in the Methodist Church and learned meditation at a Buddhist sangha, soon realizing that people of different faiths have much to offer each other. As a follower of Jesus, I try to live what He taught; “Love the Lord your God, with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength; and love your neighbor as yourself.” In that spirit, I am committed to working with anyone who wants to discover or deepen their spiritual path.
I currently offer individual spiritual direction and group activities that include book studies, retreats, workshops, and other opportunities for spiritual growth.
What Others are Saying
People have described me as authentic, quirky, and compassionate. I would add that I’m passionate about walking with others along their spiritual paths. To me, spiritual direction is simply a conversation between two people about life and God. If this resonates with you, I’m guessing we would work well together. In fact, it would be an honor.
Let’s Talk
I get excited about collaborating with other spiritual directors, ministry leaders, and community influencers and encourage you to reach out if you want to talk about how we might collaborate. If you’re looking for individual spiritual direction, let’s chat!!
